About the Event
We invite you to participate walking 11 miles of pristine California coastline, most of it wild and protected by difficult access, all of it filled with beauty and awe in a gratitude walk inspired by cancer survivorship, designed to empower individuals through networking, and educational sessions on Skin Cancer and Melanoma. The event includes, amazing food, auction items featuring Art, sports memorabilia, awesome sponsorship baskets and entertainment.
Make a SPLASH Event Details
The King Tide Challenge (KTC) is an annual event that addresses the growing issue of Skin Cancer and Melanoma. Our mission is to increase public awareness about skin cancer prevention and detection, and to support research efforts. Proceeds from the event will fund research aimed at enhancing treatment outcomes for cancer patients. This exceptional 11-mile beach journey includes a gratitude walk, beach cleanup, and educational activities (see agenda). The walk will conclude at Tower 13, where patients and supporters will come together to celebrate community. KTC, in partnership with various organizations, will provide an inspiring event focused on cancer awareness and research fundraising. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the latest cancer research developments, hear from cancer survivors, enjoy a performance by the UCSD physicians and research musicians, “Sloppy Sixths,” and engage in meaningful networking.

Proceeds from the Make a SPLASH event will directly support the UCSD Melanoma and Skin Cancer Immune Therapy Research Fund Number 1254.

Ocean Basic Sponsor… $1,500.00
Table for 6. Includes registration for walk, Logo listing on website and event program, also special recognition at live event. Each person will get a Tower 13 Chow box and beverage, as well as an opportunity for networking.
Sea Level Sponsor… $2,000.00
